The #1 Priority in 2012 when Richland County Penny Tax was approved.

This road widening project is located in Richland County, SC (Columbia).  The County agreed to have SCDOT manage the project and a set funding amount of $29.8M by the County in 2016.  SCDOT awarded the project to Palmetto Corp and was given a notice to proceed with an original completion date 2019.  After three change orders from SCDOT allowed time extensions to Palmetto, the completion is now scheduled for February 2024.
